# X02 — free file hosting with an API and an MCP server

X02 ([x02.me](https://x02.me)) hosts images, video, audio, PDFs, documents, archives, fonts and 3D models and gives each one a direct link. Upload in the browser without an account, or sign up for an API key, folders, shared albums and your own subdomain (`username.x02.me`). Uploaded images are screened by X02 Vision, an in-house NSFW classifier.

AI assistants can use X02 directly. X02 runs a remote [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) server at `https://up.x02.me/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1). Add it as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Le Chat or any other MCP app, sign in to X02 in the browser window that opens, and the assistant can upload, find, view, rename, move, delete, organize and share the account's files. - **Browser:** drag, paste or pick a file at https://x02.me. No account needed; anonymous uploads can be set to expire after an hour, a day, a week or a month.
